I have always prided myself on the vocabulary and the conversation skills of my 4 yo little boy. He is an awesome kid that surprises me daily with his "smart" words. Here are some lovely examples.
Scene 1: Driving home from school.
Noah: I want and inside birthday Mommy.
Me: You don't want it at the park or to go swimming??
Noah: Nope, an inside birthday party with a pinata.
Me: Well Noah I am not sure its safe to have a pinata at an inside party.
Noah: Why?
Me: Well, you may accidental hit someone while you are swinging at the pinata. There is more room outside for people to move away.
Noah: Well, how are you going to fix that problem? I still want an inside party.
Me: Not sure, but I think we can come up with something.
Noah: Okay will you let me know when you do?
Me: Yes I will.
Scene 2: At my moms house
Noah spilled water on his shirt
Daddy: Noah what happened to your shirt?
Noah starting to cry a little: I don't know.
Daddy: Why are you crying?
Noah: Is mommy going to be mad?
Daddy: Mommy isn't going to be mad.
Noah: But there are circumstance.
Daddy: Began to laugh.

My New Fave
Okay so now I am obsessed. Joshua bought me the new Taylor Swift CD and I find myself loving every song on there. I will say that listening to the "hits" are great, but one of my favorite songs on her cd is actually a very sad breakup song. Its called Breathe. This song features Colbie Caillat as the background vocals and all I can say is wow! Here you go, take a listen.

Fondue Anyone
This weekend my Hubby treated me to an awesome dinner out for my birthday. We went to a restaurant called The Melting Pot. Definitely one of my favorites!!! Its everything fondue. SO yummy I think I gained 5 pounds because I ate so much....but it was well worth it. If you are ever in the area of Pasadena or Thousand Oaks its a must!

Kids Funny Words
This weekend while recuperating from surgery, Noah was joining me and his Gramma Geegee on the couch to watch tv. I had dropped on of the remotes down on the ground between the chair and couch. Noah, my big helper, says to me, "Dont worry mommy I will get the marote for you." I laughed so hard that I had to take a pain pill that night. I asked him to say remote for me and once again he says, "MAROTE". So cute!! Reminds me of his "applenauce" days!

Deadliest Catch

I am a huge fan of Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel on Tuesday nights at 9pm. I love it so much that I plan my night around that show. I know pathetic, but I do. It doesn't seem like it would be a very intriguing show, fishing for crab. But let me tell you, "crab fisherman" is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world! Which makes for edge of your seat viewing on every episode!
As I was watching last night I found myself acting as if I knew these people, like we were friends that talk on a regular basis or something! I began to laugh a little because I realized how crazy I really was.
I my favorite boats are the Cornelia Marie and the Time Bandit. I LOVE both captains and the crews are very entertaining to watch interact.(Phil Harris, captain of the CM is second from the Left, Johnathan and Andy captains of the TB are front and second from the right.)
If you have not been able to "catch" this show please do. Very intriguing and addicting.
Brothers Love
Yesterday we were driving home and it was oddly quiet in the back seat, too quite for a 4 year old boy and an 18 month boy. So I slowly moved my rear view mirror down, confident that I would catch them in some kind of scheming action. Much to my surprise I found them holding hands and gazing out their respective windows. It melted my heart and I started to cry.
